IMPALA is an industry consortium of leading pharmaceutical companies with the mission to develop the next generation of tools and standards for quality management in pharmaceutical R&D. At IMPALA, I have represented Bayer and also led one of the consortium's work packages teams. Within the team, we have co-developed an anomaly detection tool for clinical trial data (Clinical Trial Anomaly Spotter - CTAS). The tool was published in December 2023 as an open-source R package (https://github.com/IMPALA-Consortium/ctas). Tasks include: - provide pharmacoepidemology support to Roche safety scientists by analyzing real world databases - develop predictive models for identifying patients at risk of drug adverse event - design intuitive and interactive drug safety data dashboards - natural language processing of medical text corpora Additionally, I was the lead data scientist in our winning team at the 2019 Roche Advanced Analytics Data Challenge.
