Embedded software development in C/C++ for vehicle tracking devices (10+ different products delivered); Hardware requirements specification and choice of components; Validation, debugging and bootstraping of Electronic board and interfaces; Microcontroller’s peripherals driver development (UART, SPI, I2C, Flash memory, etc.); Board support layer (drivers and HAL); Design and implementation of several communication protocols; Software port of applications to different platforms; Implementation of an inertial measurement unit with accelerometer and gyroscope to track 3-D vehicle movement in real time; Design and implementation of software layers to enable data communication via cellular and satellite systems (Inmarsat and Iridium); Setup and adoption of an open-source toolchain for ARM based on GNU and Eclipse.

BigoClub was a startup offering educational activities to do with children, in a subscription model. As a parent/tutor, you'd choose a track (e.g. science, painting) and receive a monthly box (the "bigo box") with materials and instructions for a set of activities. Main roles: system architecture, full stack development, DevOps and product design. Tech stack: responsive Angular/Bootstrap front-end; Java with Spring Boot back-end.

Courses: Algorithms and Programming I of the Information Systems program and Programming Laboratory II of the Computer Science program.

Main activities: Web application development from customer request analysis to deployment using Seam Framework, JSF and JPA (Java) with PostgreSQL database. Maintenance of existing web applications made with Servlet, JSP, JMS and EJB on Oracle database. Development of many proof-of-concept projects using free software tools to demonstrate their benefits and evaluate their use on existing products or new ones: Distributed message handling system using Linux firewall rules and Apache MINA toolkit; Test driven development with unit testing and mocking frameworks in Java; Turn-by-turn navigation application on Android; Shortest path algorithm A* implementation; OSGi POC with Apache Felix; OLAP/BI POC using Mondrian. Accomplishments: Delivery of a web application to manage the automatic remote metering system, including an data analysis module based on a free software Bussiness Intelligence package. Availability of many successful proof-of-concept projects that can be adopted to improve software quality and even reduce the time-to-market if the company decides to explore new markets.

Main activity: Create processes and tools to assist and monitor the operation of production systems in GNU/Linux platforms. Accomplishments: Automation of operational processes; Reporting tools development.
