Type of contract: fixed term from 15th March 2018 to the 20th September 2019 Main fields which I was involved in: Collaboration in the hardware development team: type tests performed according to the EN50155 standard on several kind of control and communication products for the harsh train environment Main tasks: -Environmental type tests: tests performed with the use of a climatic chamber to stress the devices under test with different temperatures and/or humidity levels in several working conditions -Type tests of communication interface placed in the products: MVB, RS422/485, WTB, type tests performed according to the related standard of the communication protocol -Component thermal characterization type tests (thermal characterization of the mounted components in a device during tests performed at worst case stress conditions or for the evaluation of new components) -Galvanic Insulation type tests (high voltage insulation tests of galvanic islands in the DUT) -Specific functionality tests made according to the characteristics of the product -Power type tests in different functionality conditions (Power budget, voltage measurements, power startup analysis etc.) -Writing of type test reports and debugging reports -Debugging of issues on the devices under test during the type tests -Soldering of components in THT and SMD format (for small reparation or modification), preparation of cables and other test infrastructures elements in order to build test setups, assembling of boards into housing -Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) type tests performed to qualify new components if they are suitable for the duagon products (burst tests performed according to the standard EN50121) -Occasional work in the production facility: functional tests of manufactured products destinated to the clients

Type of contract: temporary contract from 29th May 2017 to the 29th Setptember 2017 Maintenance and upgrades installation activities for the radiofrequency amplifiers used in the particles energy booster cavities of accelerators complex Main tasks: -Assembling -Cables crimping -Integrity tests executed on electronic tubes to verify reception integrity -Soldering of electronic components -Maintenance activities executed during the LHC technical stops

Type of contract: fixed term contract from the 1st February 2016 to the 31st January 2017 Optoelectronics systems for the backend section of data acquisition and signal control triggering for the LHC particles detectors Principal purpose of my tasks: Collaboration in the R&D team for the development, testing and the installation of electronics systems Main responsibilities: • Test of boards and optoelectronic components (LABVIEW platforms, signal measurements, optical measurements etc.) • Mechanical assembly of electronic boards, various parts, supports and boxes • PCB Soldering: generally THT and SMD components, flexible PCBs • Setup of an irradiation resistance test for electronics boards performed in Belgium with the team (Examples of the performed activities: setup of measuring instruments, cabling inside particular structures) • Optical fiber cabling inside the underground site of CMS particles detector • Machining of mechanical parts with the numerical control machine (CNC) and conventional drilling tools (examples: patchpanels for optical fibers, protective plastic supports for silicon chips, front panels for boards)
