Title of the project: “Latex Particle Agglutination Kit for Rapid Diagnosis of Leptospirosis”. Produced, standardised and clinically tested a diagnostic latex kit for detection of Leptospira interrogans spp. in blood and urine samples of animals. The Patent was received emanating from this work.

Title of project: “A Definition of Epidemiology of Campylobacter jejuni from Human and Poultry Employing Phenotypic and Genotypic Techniques”. Kept the bank of isolates; studied antibiotic susceptibility and the molecular basis of antibiotic resistance mechanism

* My role in current position includes: * Developed and maintained regional strategy for veterinary service and veterinary product quality. * Responsible for health status of regional Grand Parent and Grand Grand Parent poultry breeding operations. * Co-ordinated and implemented company health, biosecurity and avian disease control standards in regional company operations and in the key customers. * Undertook health audits and disease investigations for GP/GGP poultry breeding operations and company customers. * Run a project on implementation of poultry feed decontamination process at feed mills supplying regional GP/GGP poultry breeding operations. * Facilitated sales through supporting sales and technical team on veterinary related topics. * Trained company personnel, distributors and customers on avian health and pathology. * Developed technical materials for publications, workshops and seminars. * Presented at internal and external conferences as well as exhibitions. * Liaised with government officials, producer associations and biological companies.
