Pavak Vyas, PhD

An avid traveler, Pavak is currently working in higher education administration, recruitment and strategy in Canada. An experienced admissions professional in Higher Education in India, Pavak has demonstrated history of working in the education management industry for over 20 years. Pavak presently works for Faculty of Mathematics, University of Waterloo, Canada, spearheading admissions and outreach in India. He looks after the UW’s admission outreach strategies and focuses on building strong relationships to enroll academically bright students from India. In previous roles, he Headed Admissions, Outreach and Financial Aid at Anant National University, India's first design University. Where his key responsibilities include plan and execute outreach strategies for admissions at Anant National University. Design and develop systems, policies and processes for admissions and financial aid for Undergraduate, Graduate and Anant Fellowship program. He also focuses on to build a strong admissions and outreach team, direct and drive Campus Visits, Open Houses, Webinars and Workshops for prospective students, design and develop admission policies and do liaison and compliance with regulatory authorities. Prior to AnantU, he was associated with Ahmedabad University as Head, Office of Admissions and Financial Aid where he set up Office of Admissions and Financial Aid, designed and implemented holistic review of applications, forged strategic partnerships with organisations through the world for outreach and student exchange. Designed need and merit based scholarship programme for recruiting students from diverse backgrounds. In addition to working for top educational institutions Pavak advises several organizations - Venture Capitalists, Investors, Non Profit Organizations and startups in Education about Higher Education Strategies. As a prolific speaker, he is invited nationally and internationally to various education institutions and conferences to deliver talk to students, teachers and counselors on various aspects of careers and counseling. He is also skilled in Course Design, New Program Launch, Analytical Skills and Lecturing. He holds Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Business Management from Gujarat University and was Fellow, Marketing and Strategy, Judge Business School, University of Cambridge. UK and NUS Singapore.
