As Project Manager I have supported the multicultural and multidisciplinary project teams in developing products and processes that support Sonion. Both to enter new markets and support our current clients. The developments have been supported from early product ideas to implementation of mass production. About the company: Sonion is a leading B2B supplier of micro acoustic and micro mechanical technologies for hearing instruments and other advanced ear-level audio devices including consumer electronics.

Due to company growth Hessing was incentivized to start thinking beyond the issues of today and to expand its capabilities with the R&D discipline. My assignment was to facilitate the discussion concerning the future direction of the company and assemble a technical roadmap by identifying stepping stones that further solidify their leading position in the fresh food industry. About the company: Cutting and processing fruits and vegetables is an art in itself. Over the last 60 years Hessing has provided a wide range of products for supermarkets, wholesalers, in-flight catering facilities, and fast food chains.

As an R&T engineer I worked on a multitude of thought-provoking research projects aimed to ensure future feasibility and overall competitive advantage by improving the company's products and processes. My activities ranged from product sketches, process proposals, compliance analyses, and offline personal initiatives to non-market conform solutions for long-running high-risk customer-driven challenges. During my career I found a passion for Additive manufacturing and have had the pleasure to share this knowledge at in-house technology conferences across the US. April 2017, I joined the work council in the position of chairman. Allowing me to gratefully represent the 125+ colleagues in the Netherlands both on national as well as European level (from Feb 2018) during policy changes and discussions whilst also facilitating Zodiac in achieving its objectives. About the company: Zodiac Aerospace is a world leader in aerospace equipment and systems for commercial, regional, and business aircraft, as well as helicopters, defense, and space applications.

In my time as a mechanical design engineer my responsibilities included the adjustment and modification of proven designs to fit customers need. From proposal to technical documentation. Whilst also strongly optimizing my personal workflow through the application of design tables and parametric modelling. About the company: Selmers is a well-known supplier of plants and equipment for internal and external pipe coating, cleaning, and handling.

Following up on an internship, I was asked to stay on the development team during the remainder of my study, and a bit thereafter. In this time I have executed both development as well as supporting tasks for the R&D department.

Major: Mechanical Engineering Minor: Thermodynamics & Renewable energy Graduation thesis: at Plymovent: development of dynamic wastebin valve for next-generation modular filtration system. Internship 2: at Plymovent, a global player that supplies products systems and services for air extraction and filtration. During my internship I supported the development of a limestone dosing machine for fire safety solutions. Internship 1: at Sixways, a small Dutch family owned business dedicated to provide guidance and advice for renewable energy solutions. I was tasked to analyse the system in use and to improve the design of the proprietary heat exchanger. In my time with Sixways I also developed a calculation file for the feasibility of the heat exchangers based on earth composition.
