Responsible for proactively encouraging a strong safety culture during the re-design and construction of a BD-5J jet aircraft. Responsible for disseminating safety information, policies, and procedures to the entire team regarding hangar safety, including personal protective equipment, location of emergency exits and equipment, evacuation procedures, and accident reporting guidelines. Liased with the engineering re-design team to ensure the incorporation of safety equipment into the MicroJET cockpit, including fire extinguisher, Angle of Attack Indicator, harness cutter, and canopy release mechanism. Responsible to the MicroJET executive board for completing to-do list items in a timely fashion. Managed three subordinate members of the safety committee.

Responsible for verification of proper and safe operation of auxiliary, electrical, and main propulsion equipment by reading pressure and temperature gauges or displays and recording data in engineering logs; and conducting thorough visual inspections of machinery. Conducted preventive maintenance and corrosion control on decks, damage control equipment such as air/watertight doors, hatches, and scuttles; superstructures, or hulls, using a wide variety of tools including wire brushes, hand or air chipping machines, and grinders. Lowered or raised lifeboats with winches and steadying lines. Tasked to steer the ship under the direction of commanders or navigating officers following designated courses.

Prepared comprehensive written reports, presentations, maps, or charts based on research, collection, and analysis of intelligence data. Gathered, analyzed, correlated, and evaluated information from a variety of resources, such as law enforcement databases relating to various illicit maritime activities including illegal use of living marine resources, narcotics or illegal migrant smuggling, terrorism, and other national security threats. Predicted future gang, organized crime, or terrorist activity, using analyses of intelligence data. Validated known intelligence with data from other sources and collaborate with representatives from other government and intelligence organizations to share information or coordinate intelligence activities.

Responsible as a team for the design of a safe and effective fuel storage and flow system for the Experimental Rocket Propulsion Laboratory's HYDRA project, a miniaturized bipropellant liquid rocket engine. Contributed to the design of physical safety apparatus (blast wall) for test firing of the HYDRA engine. Contributed to the design and programming of command and control software for the HYDRA engine.
