Project to restore and deploy a unique landmark of water- and windmill. As former owner of the mills, I initiated the conservation of the landmark. It resulted in the foundation of “Stichting De Kilsdonkse Molen” in 2003. In 2007 permits and funding were gained to start reconstruction. In 2008 buildings were ready including a visitor’s center within the budget of 2.2 million euro. In May 2009 a grand opening festivity with the Dutch royal prince Friso brought thousands of visitors.

Functional and hierarchic lead of design engineering and advanced development group. Responsible for engineering tools, skill development, quality, coaching, departmental reporting, human resources. Special assignment: transferring product responsibility and supply support to other countries like France, India, China, Singapore and Malaysia

Design of connectors taking into account customer requirements, manufacturability, quality, cost and lead-time. Use of advanced design and verification tools. Member of multi-disciplinary team. International contacts with customers, suppliers and colleagues. Introduction of successful products in electronic applications: PCMCIA, mobile phone, 2 mm telecom, data I/O. Owner of many patents. Special assignment: leading the technical integration of major connector product lines (METRAL® / Millipacs®) after the merge of FCI and Berg Electronics in 1998

Design of (concepts for) equipment and parts.

Research and development of processes, products and parts on manufacturability and application, often supporting other Philips design centers. Sound investigation of self-tapping screws in plastics, resulting in a new view on the theory and a corresponding simulation model.

Project to restore and deploy a unique landmark of water- and windmill. After the completion of the recontruction of the mills, we are developing exploitation. As committee member and miller I am responsible for the buildings and technics, production of cereals and oil, process demonstrations and the planning of volunteers.

Responsible for the growth of the new DSM plastic Stanyl© ForTii™. Identification of applications for this high temperature nylon. Convincing customers in Asia and Europe for existing and new applications. Creation of roadmaps with technology trends in the electronic industry affecting engineering plastics. Alignment with Research and Technology department to expand the material portfolio.
