Responsible for the Cooperation with the Palestine Red Crescent Society, the Magen David Adon, the International Federation and other Movement partners. Support the response to conflict and especially the operational cooperation and coordination of support from various National Societies.

Cooperation support to six ICRC delegations in the Americas, including baseline assessments, the facilitation of workshops / partnership processes and the elaboration of projects with the Red Cross National Societies of the Americas (36). Part of the ICRC Rapid Deployment team, with two deployments during the period (Haiti hurricanes and the Gaza conflict). Coordination with the International Federation and UN agencies based in Panama.

Support to the ICRC operations for Red Cross NS in 89 countries (covered by 22 delegations / offices), including representing the ICRC in major forums, programme evaluations and planning advice. Day to day technical advice to the field based Cooperation Delegates, especially regarding the development of partnerships with the Red Cross National Societies. Contributing to the development of the ICRC cooperation policy and tools.

Development of the partnership strategy with the Colombian Red Cross at both headquarters and branch level. Support to the ICRC programmes to develop joint operations with the Colombian Red Cross (for victims of armed violence). Elaboration of “Capacity Building” programmes with the Colombian Red Cross to develop service delivery and sustainability. In particular, supporting the Colombian Red Cross to assess its security threats and develop mitigation measures.

Coordination with the IFRC and Movement Partners. Support to the various ICRC delegations in the Region with regards to partnership with National Societies.

Development of the partnership strategy with the Indian Red Cross at both headquarters and branch level. Support to the ICRC programmes to develop joint operations with the Indian Red Cross (for victims of armed violence). Elaboration of “Capacity Building” programmes with the Indian Red Cross to develop service delivery and sustainability.

Seconded to the ICRC Latin America Region to evaluate: The ICRC health programme in Colombia: After over ten years of implementing a mobile health team strategy, the evaluation aimed at increasing the efficiency of the programme and ensuring the re-establishment of the state health services in conflict affected rural communities with the presence of armed groups. The capacity of the Bolivian Red Cross to respond to violence: Including an analysis on the probable scenarios for violence and the capacity assessment of the Bolivian Red Cross HQ and seven regional branches. The evaluation proposed areas for developing the Red Cross response capacity, including advice regarding project design.

Advise the ICRC delegations in the Asia Pacific Region in regards to Cooperation with the International Movement. Develop partnerships and a regional strategic framework with the IFRC.
