As the CEO of the Geyer Family Office, I direct the Investments, Finances, Legacy and Philanthropic work of the Geyer Family using my experience as an accomplished medtech entrepreneur, investor, and board leader with 30+ years of experience founding, scaling, and advising high-growth startups. As CIO of Nimbus Synergies, I drive investment and mentorship for Canada’s most promising healthtech companies. My passion is transforming breakthrough ideas into commercial realities, building strong teams, and creating sustainable value through expert board governance.I have founded and led three anchor medtech companies, guided numerous startups as a board member and advisor, and played a pivotal role in the growth of Vancouver’s Healthtech ecosystem. I am committed to fostering innovation, strategic partnerships, and community impact.In 1991 I founded Mitroflow, a tissue heart valve company and grew the company from 9 employees to one of the largest medical devices companies in BC, selling In 1999 for more than $50 mil. In 2001 I founded Medical Ventures (Neovasc) where I where I held the position of Chairman of the Board and CEO until June 2008 and was responsible for raising over $40 mil in equity financing and overseeing the acquisition of three other companies.Since 2008, I have been focused on assisting Entrepreneurs to build successful businesses, as a mentor or Board member, and as a Fellow of Creative Destruction Labs. I believe in building the local community through my involvement as an active contributor and Board member of organizations such as BCTech, Life Sciences BC, Science World, Entrepreneurship at UBC, Social Venture Partners, Junior Achievement BC and the VGH Hospital Foundation. Our Family Office is actively engaged Philanthropy giving both time and money to many community organizations. Currently, as the CIO of Nimbus Synergies, I focus on investing in Digital Health companies that operate in the intersection between health, life sciences, and technology. In 2025, I retired as CEO of Nimbus Synergies and Discovery Parks Investments Ltd., to focus on Investing in Health Technology Ventures and management of the Geyer Family Office. I am an active Angel Investor, supporting new startup ventures and making investments of over $15mil in 60+ new ventures achieving an annual IRR > 30%.

(formerly Medical Ventures Corp.), a new specialty vascular device company that developed, manufactured and markets medical devices for the rapidly growing vascular and surgical marketplace. Neovasc is comprised of the former Medical Ventures Corp., Neovasc Medical Ltd. and B-Balloon Ltd. The company's product lines included, Metricath(R) for intravascular measurement and PeriPatch(TM) surgical tissue and staple line reinforcement products. Neovasc created a development pipeline of innovative new products, and provides contract medical device development and manufacturing services.
