Patrick Clarke

Patrick was responsible for the technical direction of the RS2 payment product suite which is utilised by many of the world’s leading and most innovative financial companies, trusted to process consumers globally to pay quickly, smoothly and securely. The team is a distributed team with development centres in Malta, Philippines, Jordan and Germany. Recently, the company became a user of this software where we provide a Software as a Service to a new generation of clients.

Patrick was responsible for the executive leadership of the OmniPay business which comprises of 190 staff delivering $80m revenue and $50m EBITDA. OmniPay provides an acquiring processing service to 44 customers globally, processing 3 billion transactions annually on a single platform based in Ireland. Patrick was one of the original co-founders of OmniPay in 2000. OmniPay is now a First Data company.

Patrick returned to OmniPay to prepare the platform for further growth as the company moved to a 100% owned entity with First Data.

Patrick co-founded the O-C Group payments consultancy practice. He managed IT change projects to rearchitect environments enabling customers to increase revenues, reduce costs, adopt an industry standard and in some cases diversify into new products and services. Patrick also managed compliance services to ensure an adequate control environment for our customers. Implementation of Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard in client companies. O-C Group qualified as a PCI DSS Qualified Security Assessor in 2007.

Patrick was responsible for the design, build, deployment and operation of a Multi-Currency Credit Card Transaction Processing Platform. From a standing start to processing transaction volumes in excess of 1 million transactions per day and providing acquiring processing services to 20 Acquirers. He managed a development team to provide a secure web based interface to our system. He was responsible for all information security related to the service offering. Environment leveraged the ISO17199 standard . As a Credit Card processor Omnipay were subject to quarterly scans and annual Payment Card Industry Data Security Audit. As an entity trading in the US we were subject to a SAS70 Type 2,now SSAE16 annual audit. OmniPay started operations in 2000. Patrick grew the IT group for 1 to 50 staff over the course of the 6 years.

Responsible for the development of tools and engineered services to enable companies to migrate their non-Oracle database and applications to the Oracle platform.

Patrick was responsible for the design and implementation of a multi-currency payment solution to support multi-national clients.

Patrick was system architect and technical leader for the development of a portfolio of Trintech Banking Systems and grew the development team from 2 to 50.

Patrick was responsible for the provision of software solutions to the manufacturing of high volume electronic assembly and test of radio based communication products. The software supported material, requirements planning (MRP) interfacing, in-process product tracking, just in time order processing and product specific processes.

Patrick was responsible for the development of solutions for the operations and maintenance of the digital call switching system for London region.
