My position as Front of House Manager places me responsible for many different areas of responsibility over my tenure at The Rustic. My primary role is day to day floor operations, specifically pertaining to hiring, training, and scheduling of support staff such as bussers, bar backs, food runners, and drink runners. I am also one of the primary closing managers, responsible for night time operations and reporting procedures. Among those, my duties also include managing event operations being the resident Micros 3700 POS expert in charge of maintenance of POS terminals and back of house operations such as pricing and reporting. I have held other roles such as the manager in charge of liquor, beer, and wine training for staff such as tasting notes, serving practices, and proper menu knowledge of cocktails, beer, and wines offered at The Rustic combined with training of TABC rules and regulations to ensure proper, safe, and legal service.

As manager, I m responsible for versatility, ability to manage and operate every station and position, scheduling and staffing of door staff, hosts, and bussers, maintain inventory and par counts, keep up on current inventory knowledge, maintain and post schedules, negotiate and interact with guests, and provide leadership to staff including training. Included in my roles is also to order and maintain liquor, beer, and wine inventories as well as conduct purchasing of new alcohol types and brands while keeping relations with distributers and representatives of both large and small scale companies.
