Pasi Karjalainen

Pasi A. Karjalainen received the Ph.D. degree in 1997 from the University of Kuopio, Kuopio, Finland. Since 1998 he has led the research group for Biosignal Analysis and Medical Imaging. He is currently a professor of signal and image analysis with the Department of Technical Physics, University of Eastern Finland. His research areas include biomedical signal analysis and medical imaging applications connected with human motion analysis. Of special interest are several clinical applications. They include the use of human motion analysis and signal analysis in neurorehabilitation and diagnosis of neurological diseases as well as dance used in rehabilitation. Most of the research of the group of Pasi Karjalainen is very multidisciplinary. Pasi Karjalainen is also an Academic Advisor and Co-Founder of Adamant Health Ltd and Surgerix Ltd. He is also an Advisor of CorFlux and TrueHear teams.
