Parul Bhatia

I’m a general dentist with over a decade of experience and a deep commitment to providing ethical, high-quality care — particularly to patients who are anxious, vulnerable, or have complex needs. As the owner and principal dentist at Butler Dental, I lead a values-driven team focused on delivering gentle, patient-centred dentistry for the whole family. I’m especially passionate about helping nervous patients build trust and confidence in the dental chair, empowering them to take charge of their oral health for life. I also hold a part-time role at Perth Children’s Hospital, where I care for children with dental trauma, medical complexities, and special needs. This work — including on-call support, theatre lists under general anaesthetic, and specialist clinics — continues to expand my knowledge and appreciation for multidisciplinary care. One of the most fulfilling parts of my journey is mentoring and employing new dental graduates, giving them a supportive, real-world stepping stone into the profession. I believe early-career dentists thrive when they’re nurtured in a positive, growth-oriented environment — and I’m proud to help create that space. As Vice President of the Women in Dentistry Association, I’m also deeply invested in supporting women in the profession and promoting leadership, collaboration, and community. I believe in continuous growth — as a clinician, mentor, and human being — and I’m always looking to learn, lead, and contribute to better outcomes for patients and peers.
