In this position, Parag was responsible for the client execution of municipal debt offerings by state, city and local municipalities. Clients under his senior management included the City of San Diego, CA (financing for convention center, $205 M); the City of Albuquerque, NM (refunding of existing debt, $122 M); the City of Sacramento, CA (state government building, $196 M); the Santa Anna Unified School District (financing for renovations and school improvements, $32.5 M), and the City of Overland Park, KS (convention center hotel project, $90 M).

During his tenure, Parag's duties and responsibilities encompassed project finance, utilities, mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance. He performed a number of investment/economic and financial analyses, and assisted numerous clients with bid support in the purchase of existing power stations and new build opportunities. Participating projects included Swedish Electric Utility (Vattenfall), UK Electric Utilities, Japanese Utility (Kansai Electric). Parag also coordinated and presented workshop training on multilateral funding agencies and export credit agencies at the Emerging Markets Conference, as well as trainings for an internal course. Additionally, he served on Price Waterhouse's Cost of Capital Team, which provided advice to the M & A group, Utilities, Project Finance and Valuation units.

In this position, Parag supported the privatization of a number of advisory projects in Haiti, Kenya, Egypt, Ukraine, Peru, Romania, and Russia. He also assisted on privatization paper reflecting IFC's experience in privatizations as an institution.

During this period, Parag assisted in the ongoing privatization of the Russian telecommunications company, Cosmofon, and built cash-flow and projection models. He also contributed to several proposals to the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development regarding privatizations in eastern Europe.

As financial analyst, corporate finance, Parag conducted comparable and subject company analyses, weighted average cost of capital, transaction analysis, and industry analysis. He also participated in fairness opinions, solvency opinions, corporate valuations, and restructurings. As financial analyst, mergers and acquisitions, Parag created comprehensive valuations based on discounted cash flows, and performed comprehensive pro forma analyses to evaluate the effects of transactions (e.g., mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, spin-offs, etc.) on the financial performances of involved companies.

Summer, 1990: (The Sponsors for Educational Opportunity Program - www.seo-usa.org) In this role, Parag provided in-depth examination of the savings and loan crisis on the banking industry and assisted in the restructuring of major commercial banks and savings and loan institutions.
