About
My professional experience covers a wide spectrum of skills, as well as the overall training process that I followed, and takes advantage of two main working contexts of great importance. In primis, the activities and career development occurred within Telecom Italia, the main Italian telephone operator, from whom I have followed a path of professional growth, initiated by the project management activities related to customer service, billing, accounting, credit and fraud, during the redesign of processes and systems. Later, I assumed managerial roles in the revenue assurance 'fixed' market, then in the billing of TI's Top Clients for fixed, mobile and data. In parallel, I made use of the skills and passion for Information and Communication Technology, in general, as a freelance consultant: the degree of expertise gained allows me to address many of the themes of ICT, horizontally and vertically at different levels of complexity, with a major focus on Digital Forensics. Among the tasks assigned and successfully carried out there are cases of special importance, also from a mediatic point of view. I'm often a guest of the italian TV program "Quarto Grado" (Rete 4 channel), to explain how a digital forensics expert can recover precious data and provide valuable answers within the most important crime scene investigations. From the relational point of view, I'm very active in an international context, with regard to the professional topics mentioned: I am a member of the Global Revenue Assurance Professional Association, key note speaker at international conferences about billing, revenue assurance and Digital Forensics, and also I give lectures at Organizations and Universities. I write for, and I'm in the editorial board of, the magazine ‘Sicurezza e Giustizia’ (‘Security and Justice’). I am a member of the Rome Chapter of Italian Engineers Association, qualified in all professional sectors and President of the ICT Commission of the Chapter. La figura dell’ingegnere dell’informazione è sempre più strategica nello scenario complessivo del mondo globalizzato: l’utilizzo e l’applicazione dei sistemi informatici e di telecomunicazioni è trasversale alla maggior parte dei settori, e costituisce spesso l’infrastruttura di controllo e gestione dei sistemi, e lo strumento di automazione e sviluppo delle attività. In questo quadro, si ritiene importante una maggiore rappresentatività e un più qualificante riconoscimento del Professionista del III Settore nell’ambito delle attività ingegneristiche. Costituisce quindi obiettivo principale della Commissione la valorizzazione della figura professionale e socio-culturale dell’Ingegnere dell’Informazione anche attraverso l’organizzazione di eventi quali seminari, incontri tecnici, convegni, congressi, la pubblicazione di articoli, esaminare bandi di gara, il supporto all’interpretazione delle normative di riferimento, della contrattualistica e delle tariffe.

My group’s activities are part of the company’s revenue assurance activities. The target is to guarantee completeness, correctness and integrity of the billing processes, minimizing losses and improving company process’ efficiency. It’s a ‘cross’ organization role, embracing the revenue chain from end to end: from the billing item generation in OSS department, through the IT processes (BSS), cooperating with finance and control in balancing revenue accounting, supporting the front-end for complaints (customer care dept.). Strong cooperation with Customer Care dept. in order to build effective business decision models based on customer behavior. The main purpose is to improve customer satisfaction while guaranteeing revenues. I have also formal responsibilities for: privacy law fulfillment (196/2003 italian law), regulatory constraints, Sarbanes-Oxley Act controls, quality certifications.

Integrated processes analysis, detection and monitoring of all the control variables that affects the revenue chain (end to end, from network activities to the billing) in order to improve effectiveness and profits, finding potential revenue losses and consequently starting recovery and revenue assurance projects.

Mentioning the most important ones: -‘Revenue Realization’, the (new) system to manage collection ad bad debt; -‘Infoconto’, an automatic service to inform the customers about the up-to-date traffic consumption; -‘Nuovo CLGRA’, to realize a call center system for the customers to ask for technical assistance (line damage, problems)
