About
My skillset is unique. I do not fit your cookie cutter roles. Currently, I’ve hung up my developer hat to pursue my passion for photography full time. I mainly focus in family photography, which encompasses maternity, newborns, baby milestones, cakesmash, family, seniors, graduates, engagements and elopements. I will also shoot very small intimate weddings but prefer to be second shooter for larger weddings. I’ve done workshops with the amazing Jessica Doffing in Austin Texas, and the brilliant Ana Brandt in NYC. I’ve also assisted the talented Jen Rizy of Hello Photography in Cedar Park. These women are my mentors and my inspiration. I am skilled in Photoshop, Lightroom, most Adobe products and my web design and software developer background give me an edge when it comes to editing and anything technical. I’m open to editing for other photographers if my schedule allows it. ############ My previous experiences: I am that missing piece of your SCRUM Team, who can bend and flex and fill in as a Front-end Developer, UI/UX Developer, QA Tester, Backend-trouble-shooter, Support Engineer, PM Advisor, Scrum Master and the best bug tracker/fixer you may ever come across. I am a team player who can ensure that the sprint team delivers the cleanest code on time, meeting all expectations.

Senior UI Developer

* Worked with the engineering team to troubleshoot and fix priority bugs across 3 software platforms * Worked with a team of engineers to plan the rebuild of 3 software solutions into one, scoping out framework options and presenting to management. * In the short time I was on this contract, I quickly learned the 3 code repositories and the business logic for the various product lines and how they interacted with each other, which allowed me to find and fix some high priority bugs and assist long term developers on what was needed to clean up some back-end logic. I was also able to assist QA and PM in understanding what bugs have been out in production for some time and what JIRA tickets needed to be created in order to align the code with the intended business logic.

UI/UX developer
* Work with Product Management to develop feature stories from epics and help guide the scheduling of user stories into sprints to avoid merge conflicts and blocked worked. * Assist PM with creating test data for developers and QA to understand what the feature input and output should be. * Design and Code the User Interface for new software features using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP and Python. * Review developer's work prior to passing off to QA to ensure the feature behaves as expected from an end-user standpoint. * Troubleshoot defects found in production, in QA testing and in development to determine how and when the defect was introduced and its severity as well as detail the exact area in the codebase that caused the bug, so that developers save time trying to understand and reproduce the issue, allowing them to quickly focus on fixing the bug. * Attend Defect Review Meetings as the Development SME - reporting and explaining the severity of bugs and the impact on development to the Product Management and the Implementation Teams so level of complexity is understood. * Perform duties as ScrumMaster, such as leading daily SCRUM Stand-ups, Sprint Retrospectives, Sprint Demo's and assigning subtasks to Developers and QA, keeping the sprint board updated and reporting the status of the sprint to Product Managers. * Research how sections of our code work and advise Management on complexities of adding new features and refactoring that may be needed. * Act as a Subject Matter Expert to the Development and QA teams, helping to answer questions on how something should work and what the expected results should be. * Lead a remote, offshore team of 3 developers and 2 QA engineers, guiding them on understanding the work they were tasked with, answering questions and pointing them to the area in the code they need to work in, as well as review their final work to ensure that it is ready for QA testing.
