Support the marketing team of Rescue P.A.W.S., a non profit organization devoted to the issue of dog and cat overpopulation in Thailand. Responsible for initiating and overseeing projects that will ultimately garner greater awareness of Rescue PAWS and help the cause. Currently, the team is developing a social media branding plan to enhance our reach via social media - a crucial tool in today's digital age. Responsibilities include brainstorming how to grow the support for Rescue PAWS and our mission.

Responsibilities at the Wharf include training new hosts, servers, and beach attendants as well as serving food and drinks to guests while engaging with customers (about 35 per shift) to ensure they receive pleasant dining experience. I am in charge of keeping maintained and organized stations.

At the Regal Beagle, I can apply all of the skills that I learned from the Wharf. Here I am expected to give customers an friendly, personal experience to contribute to the “neighborhood” feel, serve customers quickly, and anticipate their needs

I offered suggestions as to how best to improve service throughout the restaurant. I served about 100 customers during each shift, ensuring a casual, relaxed experience.

I provided roughly 100 customers per shift with an exceptional dining experience. Properly and promptly directed back waiters. Accurately, concisely, and eloquently described dishes to guests.

I researched possible media outlets to enhance the pubilcity of the client's product. I also composed pitch notes and press releases to be sent to media.

Provided support across multiple healthcare brands. Mainly, I assisted in creating content for social media calendars from the initial draft to tracking their approval through Veeva Vault. I monitored daily for branded and unbranded coverage of client mentions and flagged to the client when appropriate. When requested, performed ad hoc research related to competitors, medical meetings, and production events. Compiled weekly agendas, client call recaps, internal project tracker, and monthly activity reports

As an intern at Unleashed PR, a student-run Public Relations Firm, I was able to gain experience in all aspects of the agency world. Each week, I joined one of four teams: Social Media, Digital, Media Relations, or Research/Crisis. Each team meets weekly, in addition to agency-wide meetings.

While working for Studio K, I assist in the set-up for parties, weddings, and corporate events as well as provide ideas and themes for events when meeting with the client. From Studio K, I have learned how to manage and meet with clients.

I managed C9 Champion, Fjall Raven, Bombas, Alternative Apparel, Nixon, and Alpha Industries clothing pulls for distribution to selected publications for placement. I seeded clients’ products to specifed media and agency list contacts. In addition, I conducted research for model agent contact list as well as for Charlotte, NC influencers and venues for CorePower Yoga. Another daily task was documenting client media placement for account executives using BurellesLuce and Cision.

I interned with Hill+Knowlton Strategies as a part of my study abroad experience. Day to day, I assisted in management of public relations processes for companies by drafting press releases and pitch letters. One of my favorite projects was pitching and securing a speaking engagement for Aaron Brooks, co-founder of Visual Ampli ers (VAMP). In addition, I secured opinion piece written by VAMP’s Aaron Brooks in AdNews. For most of the time spent at H+K, I corresponded directly with chief strategist of FXCM daily and distributed a summary of market commentary to various media. Lastly, I secured media attendance for LG OLED TV range launch and LG G5 phone launch. Another facet of my position was to create coverage reports for LG, VAMP, Aon, and CIPS.
