Consultant Resourcer @ Saxon Group ME

About

I’m a passionate and purpose-driven professional with a background in trauma-informed care, therapeutic education, and quality supervision—now evolving my career into talent acquisition and human capital strategy. Previously, I worked as a Quality Supervisor and Support for Learning Practitioner, where I specialised in creating nurturing, relationship-centred environments for Scotland’s most vulnerable children. Through a strong foundation in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI), Dyadic Developmental Practice (DDP), and neurodiversity-informed approaches, I supported young people in overcoming barriers to learning and healing from trauma, building resilience through trust, consistency, and empathy. Today, as a Consultant Resourcer at Saxon Group, I bring that same relational depth and commitment to people-first practice into recruitment. I specialise in sourcing exceptional talent across engineering, construction, oil & gas, power, and industrial services—connecting high-performing individuals with organisations ready to grow. I’m proud to play a part in building strong, resilient teams by aligning the right people with the right purpose. Throughout my journey, one thing remains constant: I care deeply about helping others thrive—whether that’s a child rebuilding trust or a professional stepping into a new opportunity.

Assessment and review of service user requirements to ensure that the correct care plan and risk assessment is established and kept up to date for each service user in line with compliance and SSSC Code of Practice. Ensuring suitable file audit procedures are in place and adhered to, therefore making the filing system compliant with the SSSC Codes of Practice and Care Inspectorate standards and fit for purpose. Handled complaints and investigations, whether made by service users, next of kin, family, staff, local authority, or social work. Established and communicated a clear action plan to the branch staff to ensure smooth and efficient running of the office while out on compliance visits. Completed rota tasks that are out with my job role to support the staff team, as the responsible party was unavailable. Take initiative to check in with service users and staff out with compliance calls to maintain a positive rapport. In addition to my core responsibilities, I also supported HR-related functions within the organisation. I was actively involved in the screening and interview process for new staff, conducting face-to-face interviews and collecting all necessary documentation to ensure a smooth onboarding experience. I played a key role in matching new staff to appropriate services, aligning their skills and personalities with the needs and preferences of our service users to promote continuity and quality of care. I also conducted investigation meetings relating to staff conduct, helping to uphold professional standards and ensure compliance with company policies and the SSSC Codes of Practice. Through this work, I contributed to maintaining a safe, supportive environment where service users felt comfortable and cared for, and where staff were held to high standards of accountability and performance.

I graduated in August 2021 from the University of the West of Scotland, with a 2:1 BSc (Hons) Degree in Psychology. My degree provided me with knowledge of psychological theoretical frameworks, with a particular focus on developmental, emotional, social, and biological psychology. My degree also had a focus on mental health awareness, applied psychology, and developmental milestones. For part of my final grade, I completed a dissertation, which is an independent original psychological research study. As part of this, I was required to do appropriate background research, recruit participants, data collection and management, and formal report writing. My time at university allowed me to develop the capacity to work independently, reliably, and consistently and I was able to meet every deadline and produce high-quality work.
