About
Turning Vision into Results | Inspirational R&D and Business Leader I thrive on transforming ideas into tangible outcomes and inspiring those around me to achieve their best. By fostering an environment of collaboration and continuous learning, I believe that solutions often lie within our teams, waiting to be harnessed through thoughtful guidance and leadership. Current Role: As the head of R&D initiatives, I oversee projects spanning from forestry to final product development across all business units. My focus is on driving sustainable growth, exploring new market opportunities, and leveraging renewable products for long-term business competitiveness. Additionally, I am proud to serve as a board member of Primatera (Endowment Fund), dedicated to advancing knowledge and development in biomaterials and forestry resources. Professional Journey: Previously, I led operations at a large, capital-intensive industrial unit, managing a highly skilled team to maximize plant performance in alignment with corporate strategy. This role demanded close collaboration with a range of stakeholders, especially during recent and ongoing expansion projects. Throughout my 25+ year career in the pulp and paper industry, I have built a comprehensive understanding of business operations through roles in R&D, new business development, customer service, quality, engineering/project management, and operations, across five different companies. These experiences taught me the critical importance of integration, alignment, and adapting to diverse corporate cultures and challenges. I've been privileged to work alongside incredible people who have enriched my professional growth. Key Achievements: - Boosted production by 7% above project capacity, while reducing cash costs by 4%. - Improved product quality by 8 percentage points and reduced customer complaints by 49%. - Developed two new products in collaboration with my team, driven by deep customer insights. - Successfully built and led a new team to start up a new industrial plant, surpassing all performance targets. Leadership Style: I lead with a collaborative spirit, adapting my approach as circumstances demand. My experiences have reinforced the value of listening, engaging, and inspiring teams toward common goals. Giving Back: I am committed to contributing to society. Much of my success has been shaped by the support of others, and I actively seek ways to give back through social initiatives and community engagement.
