My vision is to embed community, social prescribing and sustainability at the heart of UK Older People’s living set within a strong local social economy. I currently lead a portfolio of innovative projects that support this mission. Highlights include: • Heathbourne Green: a ground-breaking intergenerational CCRC Residential led mixed use scheme setting new national benchmarks for retirement living. The scheme is designed to meet the needs of an ageing population, addressing under occupation of homes, whilst also meeting the changing needs of the community regardless of age, faith, race or mobility. • Cambridge Science Park: a new mixed use scheme of aparthotel, hotel, leisure, and co-working currently in early stages development. In addition, I provide consultancy on a number of residential and commercial schemes across London and Hertfordshire.

As CEO of TLC Care, the UK’s only Investor in People Platinum care home company, I lead the organisation’s mission to establish and champion world-class standards in the UK care sector, guided by the company’s values of Truth, Love and Compassion. Over the course of >10 years, I have grown TLC into eight luxury award-winning homes in North London, Hertfordshire, Surrey, and Cambridge, providing expert nursing, dementia, residential and respite care to >350 residents. We are ISO9001:2015 accredited, with all care homes assessed by CQC as ‘Good’ on a journey to ‘Outstanding’ and in addition to the IIP Platinum, won the Investors in People Employer of the Year award, alongside multiple national award wins in care, dementia, and catering. Technology plays a key role in quality of care and operational excellence with solutions such as location devices, radar systems, state-of-the-art hearing solutions, and acoustic monitoring, as well as medication management, resident care planning, rostering, audit, finance, HR, and CRM software. I am perhaps most proud of our talented team of 800 who significantly outperform sector benchmarks for employee satisfaction and engagement, with strong levels of diverse talent, and significant numbers sponsored in apprenticeships, degrees and accreditations.

In addition to my role as CEO of TLC, I have expanded TLC Group into the hospitality and residential property sectors, overseeing land acquisition, planning, construction, development and operation of assets. This includes the franchised 153-key Holiday Inn Express in Stratford (www.hiexstratford.co.uk), currently undergoing redevelopment, including extension and refurbishment.

The Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities, working with the Department for Health and Social Care, has brought together a team of experts that will report back to Government on how it can improve housing for older people. The Taskforce will run for up to 12 months, producing an independent report to DLUHC and DHSC.

I delivered global expansion projects for RLB, establishing their India operations, and working on joint UK / China projects on the ground in Chengdu. Additionally, I led client construction programmes in the UK, with key customers including Swan Housing Association, Marks & Spencer, The Open Air Theatre- Regents Park, The Royal Parks, Heritage Lottery Fund, London Development Agency and Royal Mail Group.
