I have started my career as an Advocate at High Court, Chennai in 1992. Joined Bank of India as Law Officer in 1995 and became a Senior Manager (Law) in 2000. Seconded to Indian Banks' Association as Legal Adviser and was with IBA till 2004 till repatriation to Bank of India. Left Bank of India in October 2004 to Join Union Bank of India and stayed with Union Bank from then on. I oversaw NPA recovery & Legal Services Division Union Bank of India. Some of my notable achievements are: a) negotiation and incorporation of Insurance JV, AMC JV, Credit Information Company JV for the bank. b) Restructuring, Resolution of stressed and NPA assets, Recovery of NPAs c) Sell side advisory for sale of NPAs to ARCs. Facilitated sale of distressed assets and Continues to do so. Currently I am Executive Director Allahabad Bank overseeing Retail, Risk, Audit, NPA resolution and Recovery at the bank, besides being member of the Board.
