During my time there my responsibilities included looking after front desk operations, being the first point of contact with both residents and potential residents, liaising with all other departments to ensure day to day operations run smoothly and efficiently and that any unexpected issues are dealt with quickly. I also looked after applications for future residents, providing tours of the facilities, processing applications and following up on payments. It was a great opportunity to experience a fast paced, intense work environment where meeting targets and deadlines were essential.

Working as part of a team my role with SIPS was to aid touring crews to set up for stage shows in major Dublin venues e.g. The O2, and the Olympia Theatre, as well as at summer festivals like Oxegen. The job involved working in many aspects of event production, from setting up the stage, lighting A/V, and pyrotechnics to operating spotlights and assisting the touring crew with a multitude of tasks that my arise before, during, and after the show. It was a labour intensive role but it also gave great insight into event management and how to coordinate a large group people to put together shows at the highest levels of the entertainment spectrum. As a result of this job I had the opportunity to see many talented artists like Fleetwood Mac, Pearl Jam, Green Day and many more.
