Managed the technical onboarding of 5G RAN solutions and performed critical regression testing prior to network deployment. • Feature Assessment: Conducted technical assessments of new NR/LTE RAN software releases, identifying risks and performance benefits specific to the Optus network topology. • Lab Testing: Performed rigorous lab regression testing for planned RAN releases to prevent defects from reaching the live production network. • Network Audits: Executed 4G/5G configuration audits to ensure network integrity and standardisation. • Performance Analytics: Built custom performance analysis reports using Business Objects and Network Analytics to track KPIs against customer requirements. • Troubleshooting: Resolved ENIQ reporting issues that impacted network monitoring, implementing workarounds to maintain visibility while permanent fixes were deployed. • Capacity Planning: Provided technical recommendations to manage high traffic loads during major events.

Responsible for multi-technology RAN optimisation strategies and process automation. • Strategy Implementation: Defined mobility and configuration strategies for major network changes, including U2100/U900 introduction, VoLTE rollout, and LTE bandwidth expansion. • Automation Tooling: Developed an in-house audit tool using SQL and VBA (MS Access) to automatically detect configuration inconsistencies, significantly reducing manual checking time. • Subject Matter Expert: Acted as the primary point of contact (SPOC) for radio optimisation in cross-functional projects. • Feature Roadmap: Evaluated new radio features and software releases, defining the implementation roadmap for the STC network. • Performance Recovery: Investigated and resolved complex interference and degradation issues to improve customer experience. • Reporting: Created executive-level reports to demonstrate network performance improvements following major events or changes.

• Plan RAN & BSS S/W roadmaps for all radio network vendors, and act as a technical lead for the RAN & BSS S/W upgrade projects. • Attend conferences & summits with other OpCos in Vodafone Global to discuss and align technical strategies and roadmaps. • Perform RAN and BSS capacity dimensioning and configuration exercises. • Test and rollout new 2G/3G radio features from the available vendors’ portfolios. • Perform network audits/health checks to detect possible configuration/design inconsistencies and hence implement or recommend the required corrective actions. • Analyze service benchmarking reports provided by the third parties (e.g. QualCom, P3, Telecomax) and recommend/work on corrective actions to improve the customer perceived service performance. • Participate in introducing the 2nd BSS/RAN vendor to VFE network. • Lead a work stream across the technology department to tackle worst performing 2G cells in terms of drop out and blocking. • Act as a second line support for the RF optimization engineers.

Lead a team of four engineers to perform the following tasks: o Plan and manage regular drive tests schedule to measure the performance of all Egyptian mobile operators and prepare quality benchmarking reports alongside with the necessary analysis. o Follow up the equipment suppliers’ roadmaps to keep VF radio quality systems up to date. o Study different measurement tools and develop methodologies for measuring the quality of different network services from the end user perception. o Perform 2G/3G technical network configuration/performance audits to detect inconsistencies that might impact services’ performance and follow up rectification actions with responsible teams.

• Coordinate with IT professionals to develop tools/portals to automate regular day to day tasks and detect performance issues more efficiently. • Develop/improve tools using VBA scripts, MS Access, SQL and OPS (scripting tool in Ericsson OSS) to automate complex configuration tasks, improve performance monitoring efficiency and automate regular reporting tasks. • Contribute in integrating and upgrading the CCSM (Customer Centric Service Management) system and act as a Radio technical SPOC for the product during early operational stages. • Was a member in the team responsible for designing and configuring the 3G Radio Network in the pre and post-launching phase for a duration of 1 year, where the following tasks were accomplished: o Attend one month on job training in Vodafone Portugal. o Handle 3G radio planning and optimization activities in the respective area of responsibility. o Act as a team SPOC for Radio features, STS and OSS tools. o Build the primary 3G STS network monitoring tools. o Perform technical configuration/performance audits to detect inconsistencies and recommend/implement rectification actions.

• Perform and analyze field drive tests to examine/troubleshoot radio network performance. • Monitor and optimize different radio KPIs for the assigned areas in the network. • Perform trials to enhance the network performance through parameter tuning of different radio features. • Perform the required cell level capacity dimensioning for SDCCH & GPRS resources. • Use STS and OSS toots to troubleshoot the problematic cells/sites and implement solutions to rectify the discovered problems and/or inform the concerned teams to take the proper actions. • Enhance and develop different tools to facilitate day to day tasks. • Issue regular radio performance reports to upper management. • Create Data Transcript Files for the new 2G sites integrated into the network, and improve the tool used for this purpose to be updated with the latest site configurations introduced in the network.

• Develop applications using "Smallworld" GIS/SRP package. • Implement data models for different types of networks (Telecom., Water, Electricity, …etc). • Use Smallworld’s specially designed modules for modeling different kinds of wired as well as wireless Telecommunication networks.

My Graduation project was to implement a simple IR wireless star topology LAN using a simplified network protocol developed during the project.
