Design, implement, and manage IT infrastructure (networks, servers, and security systems). Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software solutions. Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime. Ensure network security, data integrity, and backup strategies. Collaborate with other departments to understand and support their IT needs. Perform system updates, patches, and upgrades to ensure security and efficiency. Provide technical support and training to end users.

Designing and implementing new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks Installing, configuring and supporting network equipment including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS and DHCP Procuring network equipment and managing subcontractors involved with network installation Configuring firewalls, routing and switching to maximise network efficiency and security Maximising network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting Arranging scheduled upgrades Investigating faults in the network Updating network equipment to the latest firmware releases Reporting network status to key stakeholders

Set up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices (routers, printers etc.) Check computer hardware (HDD, mouses, keyboards etc.) to ensure functionality Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications Develop and maintain local networks in ways that optimize performance Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment Organize and schedule upgrades and maintenance without deterring others from completing their work Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems (repair or replace parts, debugging etc.) Maintain records/logs of repairs and fixes and maintenance schedule Identify computer or network equipment shortages and place orders
