Opeyemi ('Yemi) Adamolekun

Opeyemi is an active citizen and connector. Until January 7, 2026, she was the Pioneer Executive Director of Enough is Enough (EiE) Nigeria, a non-partisan network of individuals and organisations committed to building a culture of good governance & public accountability in Nigeria through active citizenship. ‘Yemi has a 27-year diverse career spanning the public and private sectors in the US and Nigeria. She started her career as a management consultant in Navigant Consulting; then did a four-year stint at RCCG Jesus House, DC, as Operations Coordinator before moving back to Nigeria. In Nigeria, she worked at Alder Consulting, an ideas, strategy and brand consulting firm, and after 4 months, was asked to lead its new start-up – a figment of imagination – a physical product development firm. She left ‘a figment of imagination’ for business school and on her return, providence saw her as one of the founding Board Members of EiE Nigeria. In 2018, she was named as one of the Most Influential People of African Descent (MIPAD), endorsed by the United Nations in the Humanitarian & Religious category. In 2019, she joined the Africa Program of the Center for Strategic & International Studies (CSIS) in the US where she served as a non-resident Senior Associate until October 2025. In January 2022, Opeyemi was appointed to the Editorial Board of ThisDay Newspapers. Opeyemi was awarded the 2022 Global Citizen Prize - Citizen Award Nigeria, in recognition of her contribution to the civic space in Nigeria.
