Land Mobility Operations - Corporate Fleet @ Red Sea Global

About

I’ve spent much of my career operating in environments where poor decisions carried real operational or public consequence. That tends to shape how you think about governance, accountability and what it actually takes to keep complex operations functioning under pressure. My career has moved through operational environments that often faced the same pressures as they scaled: commercial demand outpacing operational discipline, accountability becoming unclear, governance struggling to keep pace with growth, and leadership teams losing visibility of how operations were actually functioning day to day. That experience has included a £112M national estate across 169 government sites, enterprise service delivery, politically exposed programmes and international mobility and infrastructure operations, all running under executive and ministerial scrutiny. The environments ranged from frontline operational delivery through to large-scale programmes where continuity, compliance and performance carried significant financial, regulatory and reputational exposure. Some roles involved stabilising challenged operations and rebuilding control around performance, governance and commercial accountability. Others focused on scaling established operations, reducing operational friction and building structures capable of sustaining growth without degrading delivery. Most of the work has been less about management theory and more about operational reality. Understanding where decisions slow down, where reporting stops reflecting the truth on the ground, and where process becomes disconnected from delivery. Then building systems, leadership structures and accountability frameworks that continue to function under pressure. Sustainable performance rarely comes from dashboards or slogans alone. It usually comes from clear intent, capable people, consistent standards and leadership teams that remain connected to operational reality.

Led operational delivery, governance and commercial control across enterprise mobility, transport and service operations within one of the Middle East’s largest tourism and infrastructure development programmes. The environment was unusual in both scale and pace. Operational requirements were evolving continuously while infrastructure, accommodation, logistics and hospitality functions were all developing in parallel across geographically dispersed sites. The role combined operational mobilisation, supplier governance, commercial oversight and service redesign across a multi-site operation supporting 900+ assets, large operational workforces and 24/7 service delivery requirements within a high-growth giga-project environment. Much of the focus was on bringing operational structure and commercial discipline into an environment scaling at speed, while maintaining continuity of service across remote and infrastructure-light operating conditions. Key areas of delivery included: • Redesigning operating models and supplier structures to reduce embedded cost leakage and improve commercial accountability across leasing, maintenance and transport operations. • Strengthening operational governance, KPI reporting and utilisation controls to improve asset productivity, reduce idle capacity and support more demand-led deployment planning. • Supporting mobilisation of large-scale micro-mobility and transport operations aligned to phased resort openings, workforce growth and evolving operational demand. • Establishing internal leasing and recharge mechanisms that improved flexibility, increased operational control and reduced dependency on external providers during peak demand periods. • Working across operational, commercial and leadership teams to align service delivery, financial performance and long-term operational readiness as the wider programme continued to scale.
