Currently, I’m navigating the world of IT Procurement for the Government of Alberta, where I manage everything from sourcing high-tech gear to software renewals & purchases (Atlassian Jira, NetApp, Terminotix Logiterm, ServiceNow, OpenAI, Shell, Rocket Exceed etc.)I like to think of myself as a "Procurement Multilingual"—fluent in SAP Ariba, 1GX, D365, and JD Edwards. • Execute different kinds of Procurement ranging from S2C (RFQ/RFP), P2P (PR/PO), Pre-Qualified Request, and Contingent Labour using SharePoint, SAP Ariba, APC, and net among other procurement software • Create Purchase Requisition, Purchase Order, Sourcing Request, Soliciting Documents, RFx, and Receipt tickets on 1GX platform and Ariba. • Track Order deadlines and year-end reports • Maintain consistent Communication with suppliers, clients, business units and team members during the solicitation and evaluation process. • Provide advice on best mode of procurement to ensure a standardized and speedy process following applicable trade agreements. • Effective Evaluation of Bids submitted by suppliers while determining the most cost-effective bid submitted. • Accurately Review Contract Review Forms and Procurement Requisition Forms received. • Contribute to the design of new procurement documentation and processes, such as Request for Information, Pre-Qualification Request, and Request for Proposals. • Conducting contract tracking, verification, and updating status expeditiously on SharePoint, Ariba, and 1GX to meet work priorities and tight deadlines. • Organizing detailed research and reporting on IT contracts that are active and inactive in the ministry's SharePoint to be stored at the Alberta Record Center (ARC). • Ensure fair and unbiased procurement practices were supplier and contract engage in competitive bids using Alberta Purchasing Connection (APC) website • Collaborate with team members in renewal and amendment of expiring contracts, existing contracts, Statement of Works (SOW) • Execute Sole Sourcing contract using the Treasury Board and Finance legislation to award Sole Sourcing Contract • Integrate knowledge of trade agreements (NWPTA, CUSMA, CFTA, CETA, TILMA, WTO GPA, etc), prohibition/restriction, legal consideration, FOIP, and public sector best practice in project coordination.
