Oliver Podd

Growing up close to London made it the natural thing to find employment there. Once I left college I worked in banking for HSBC and then insurance for AON. Although I enjoyed the life working in London I didn’t see myself wanting a career in these industries as I felt more entrepreneurial. I decided in my mid 20’s to start selling items on eBay and I worked at markets and car boots selling anything I could find. I then found a wholesaler of kids toys and one thing led to another and I had a very successful 15 years on eBay and as a 3rd party seller on Amazon. It was very hard work and in the end I fell out of love with it. I decided to move to Spain with no real plan but within 6 months I had bought 3 apartments and qualified to be a padel coach. My latest venture along with my co-founder Ian is offering padel holidays in sunny Alicante, the company is called padel tripper. I will continue to teach padel and run my successful Alicante social padel group which has over 800 members.
