Mechanical Design Engineer @ Nextpower
About
As a Mechanical Design Engineer at Nextpower, I am responsible for the design, development, validation and deployment of parts that go into making single axis solar trackers. This role is heavily reliant on rapid prototyping technologies to evaluate early concepts and support unique testing needs. With Woodbridge I served as a resident engineer for their EV customers based in the California market. I worked on the development of future technologies in the automotive seating and interior cabin space. This was in addition to serving as a sole direct contact for Woodbridge on the ground in case of urgent escalations of engineering challenges and production issues. At Tesla, I was responsible for the engineering design and management of seating systems for Tesla vehicles. I created designs based on studio surfaces, and worked with cross-functional teams to source, validate, and launch complete seat assemblies.I have a Master of Science degree in Automotive Engineering from Clemson University International Center for Automotive Research, where I was part of the 10th iteration of the Deep Orange accelerated concept development program. I worked on developing a clean slate, electric autonomous mobility concept for the 2030 Smart City life, sponsored by Ford Motor Company. In addition, I have a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Program Management Institute (PMI).I am highly interested in the idea of automotive automation and sustainable transportation, and I look forward to advancing my career in program management and engineering design.
