I am a Full Stack Java Developer currently based in Sydney, Australia, holding a subclass 482 Skills In Demand Visa. Previously, I spent three years at Canada Life Europe as a Software Engineer, where I played a key role in designing and implementing scalable, cloud-based applications. I acted as the lead developer for an Azure cloud-based team, managing production releases, resolving critical issues, and driving new projects. One of my key accomplishments was leading the development of a customer portal for company pensions, using Java, Spring Boot, MySQL, and Azure. This platform streamlined the digitalisation of pension documents, enhancing policyholder experience and backend efficiency. My experience extends to developing and maintaining RESTful APIs, designing backend microservices, and working with SQL databases to optimise data storage and retrieval. On the frontend, I have worked with Angular, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Thymeleaf to develop user-friendly interfaces that integrate seamlessly with backend services. I designed and implemented a broker management system using an MVC architecture, ensuring a smooth and responsive user experience. I have a strong focus on automation and DevOps, utilising Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes to streamline build, test, and deployment processes. My proficiency with HQL, Hibernate, and SQL allows me to manage and optimise database interactions effectively. I have also implemented unit testing, integration testing, and behavior-driven development (BDD) using tools like JUnit, Selenium, Cucumber, and Mockito. Additionally, my academic background includes a thesis on ‘Big Data Analytics at JD.com,’ where I leveraged Python, Pandas, NumPy, PySpark, and PyTorch to extract insights from large-scale e-commerce data. This experience strengthened my ability to work with big data processing, machine learning, and analytics.
