* The Ohio University Center for Higher Education participated in this regional “P-16” council for Athens and Meigs counties throughout the year. * This council works toward education reform designed to create a seamless education and workforce system for the state of Ohio and produce the talent base needed for the 21st century economy.

* The Center for Higher Education participates in this initiative that works to bridge the gap between the Center’s focus on faculty development and assessment with the accountability of student learning. * Partners: * o Ohio University Division of Student Affairs * o Ohio University Campus Recreation

* The working papers series was developed to showcase student, faculty and Center for Higher Education related research. * Papers have highlighted issues in higher education and have enhanced dialogue among educators, policy makers, practitioners, and the public. * Four new papers were posted in 2012 on the Center website to make a total of 11 papers to date: http://www.cehs.ohio.edu/centers-partnerships/centers/center-higher-ed.htm

* The Ohio University Center for Higher Education helped to coordinate the bringing in of a speaker from Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) who presented on the use of the College Navigator software system. * The Center for Higher Education coordinated presentations from Charles McGrew, from t he Council of Postsecondary Education in Kentucky, to begin discussions regarding postsecondary education in rural and Appalachian Ohio and Kentucky. * Partners Included: * o National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) * o Association for Institutional Research (AIR)
