I am currently working at EAM(Substation equipment standards and specifications) section and my duty is to apply a substantial body of professional knowledge within the Equipment Standards Section, dealing with a variety of complex issues requiring research, investigation and evaluation; to assists in the management of distribution substation equipment standards by performing detailed inspections and testing at manufacturing level, ensuring compliance with national standards, assisting in the preparation of tender specifications and carrying out technical evaluation, drafting specific drawings to comply with equipment specifications, implementing quality assurance programmes and assisting in ensuring quality and in-service performance in a cost effective and sustainable manner

I have developed skills at City of Cape Town while working in different sections of electricity within the City of Cape Town which are: LV, MV, Construction, Engineering Support, Control Room, Public Lighting and Distribution System Development. I have done maintenance on substations on MV equipment (Transformers, Unigears, RMU’s) and assist Operators with switching, LV networking (kiosks, overhead lines and underground cables) installing ready boards and meters, changing over and planting of mini substations and RMU’s, fault finding, jointing of both MV and LV cables, Pressure testing and duct testing and worked with Clerk of works be in charge of Contractors, did Scoping, Cable Allocation, Site Inspection, Handing over sites. I have worked with motors both single & three phase as well. I have gained knowledge of electricity distribution equipment/ systems, safety legislation and practices. I also worked at Distribution System Development section where I am doing the planning and designing extension of network in response to customer power supply applications, working on SAP and SharePoint

•I have worked at the University as an IT supporter responsible for printers, computers and assisting students with MS word, PowerPoint, Microsoft excel, Microsoft publisher, MS Outlook etc. And also worked as a Tutor for S1 students tutoring Digital Systems 1.

•I was working at 4em consulting engineering company where Junior Engineer where I was doing the designing of electrical (lights, SSO, DB, Signage, UPS) on Auto Cad, voltage drop calculations, cable trays, fire detections, prepare tender documents, pricing bill of quantities attending site meetings and site inspections.

•I was working at ERC as Assistant Electrician (Elconop 1) did the Electrical installations of Shopping malls and Hotels.
