Nicholas Read

Nicholas Read is a Civil Engineer with more than 15 years of combined experience in dam safety reviews, dam reconstruction, hydraulic and hydrologic analyses/assessments, stream diversions, feasibility studies, master plans, and the conceptual design of many other works in the renewable energy, municipal, residential, commercial, and industrial sectors. He has participated in the design and supervision of construction works related to hydropower generation, dams, reservoirs, stormwater management, drinking water filtration, pumping, fire protection, wastewater treatment, solar parks, highways, commercial and residential development as well as municipal roadways, water mains, forced mains and sewers. His multidisciplinary Civil Engineering experience and his additional degree in Biology give him a broad expertise and a unique understanding of hydraulic systems and the implications of dam management and safety on the various stakeholders. Mr. Read specializes in dam safety and rehabilitation but draws on all his experience for his skills in project management, contract and client negotiations, team management, construction feasibility and value engineering.
