MITES Semester Scholar
I was selected from a competitive process to participate in the six-month MIT Online Science, Technology, and Engineering Community (MOSTEC) program that serves rising high school seniors from across the country. I participated in two college-level classes: 1. Materials science: Under the instruction of Dr. Jackie Cho, I examined how extremely hot and cold temperatures affect the adhesiveness of scotch and painter's tape with two other rising seniors. My group conducted 3 trials for 3 different tests, from which we determined scotch tape was the more efficient choice. We also presented our findings in a scientific report and through a presentation at MITES Symposium. 2. Computer Science: I learned basic Python and completed mini projects, including creating Break reminders, renaming files, drawing the MITES Logo with Turtle, and sending texts with Twilio. Ultimately, these mini projects prepared me to expand on the Snake game from Github and create my unique Song randomizer project.

Solving Global Challenges (SGC) Scholar
Yale Young Global Scholars (YYGS) is a selective academic enrichment program for outstanding high school students from around the world hosted by Yale University. Each summer, students from over 130 countries (including all 50 U.S. states) participate in an interdisciplinary, two-week session while immersing themselves in a global learning community. I was granted full scholarship of $4,000 to attend this program.

Project Manager
Green Touch
• Managed donor relations by creating and maintaining spreadsheets to track information effectively • Conducted outreach to over 200 donors to secure contributions for providing blankets to orphans in Bangladesh • Researched and addressed issues of discrimination against working women in rural Bangladesh to inform advocacy efforts • Updated the organization’s website to reflect our mission, past initiatives, and future goals, enhancing public engagement
