I'm a software engineer based in Melbourne with a strong foundation in full stack development, reinforced through formal study, in-depth technical courses, and hands-on experience building complete web applications. I hold a Diploma of Software Engineering and have deepened my practical skills through courses such as Harvard’s CS50, freeCodeCamp’s JavaScript Algorithms and Data Structures, the MERN Fullstack Guide on Udemy, and the 100 Days of Python Bootcamp. These programs have helped me gain confidence working across both frontend and backend stacks, as well as writing clean, maintainable code in JavaScript and Python. My recent project, ChapterRewind, is a full-stack reading companion app that leverages OpenAI, YouTube, and Google Books APIs to deliver personalised book recaps. It uses React, Zustand, Tailwind CSS, and Axios on the frontend, and a Node.js/Express backend with JWT authentication and RESTful routes. I’ve deployed the application on Render and incorporated automated testing using Vitest and React Testing Library. I'm comfortable with Git-based workflows, feature branching, pull requests, and issue tracking on GitHub. I aim to write robust code that scales and can be easily maintained, while prioritising usability and clarity in the user experience.
