Hello! I have been working as a Software Development Engineer at Amazon since June 2021 where I utilize cloud computing technologies to build micro services used at Amazon Scout. During my time on the Amazon Scout team, I have accomplished a variety of achievements. I was the tech lead for a project regarding a new set of workflows on one of Amazon Scout's main operations application. I had to understand the complexities of the set of requirements for the new workflows and write a comprehensive system design document that analyzed the tradeoffs between different architectural solutions that I designed for the project. In addition to architecture, I also designed a suite of APIs allowing for efficient and effective call patterns for clients. After team buy-in on my recommended solution, I led the implementation of a new microservice while overseeing and advising two other engineers. I was able to lead this new service to a successful launch where customers reported a very satisfactory performance. In addition to being a tech lead, I have had opportunities to focus on individual contributions. One major project was developing the entire backend and parts of infrastructure of a CRUD service. Not only was I the major individual contributor for the business logic, I was able to delivery results through a mentee. Some of my strongest skills I had been able to exercise at my time at Amazon Scout include: System Design, writing infrastructure as code via AWS CDK, Java, React, NodeJS, Typescript and AWS Technologies (Cloud Formation, Identity and Access Management, API Gateway, Elastic Container Service, AWS Fargate, DynamoDB, DocumentDB, Lambda, Simple Notification Service, Simple Queue Service, etc). I have a B.S. in Computer Science with concentrations in Machine Learning and Software Engineering. I also have a minor in mathematics.
