I am a manufacturing engineer at Arlin MFG. I’ve worked on a handful of projects such as the redesign of a plastic slitting and rewinding machine, parts design of outdated equipment, and the upkeep/maintenance of multiple machines. I enjoy working on part design and learning how to improve machines that have outdated parts. There are two machines that I have designed, programmed, wired, and built that are used at my current employer today. One being a slabber which takes a large scrap roll that does not fit tolerances, and cuts it down to manageable sizes to be pelletized and recycled. The other machine I designed and put together was a Slitter that takes 14 inch rolls and cuts them down to 1 inch thick material to be wound on a sahm winder.
