At The Medical House Limited, I worked as a Biomedical Engineer leading a TB clinical trial project as the subject matter expert for four molecular diagnostics centers, training 10+ local project managers and ensuring strict SOP adherence. I also oversaw the installation and maintenance of 25 RT-PCR diagnostic devices in rural Tanzania and conducted ‘Training of Trainers’ seminars at medical institutes, upskilling over 50 scientists and healthcare professionals in molecular diagnostic techniques.

As part of the founding team at Ytalife, an FMCG startup focused on healthy snacks, I led the research and development of six nutrition bars from concept to market, helping establish the company as a registered brand in the health food space.

As a Project Student at DRDO’s Defence Food Research Laboratory, I conducted research and did my Master’s thesis on “Developing Zein Nanoparticles Coated with Chitosan for the Encapsulation and Controlled Release of Vitamin D3 to Combat Osteoporosis.” This work involved extensive lab-scale formulation, nanoparticle characterization, and data analysis, giving me hands-on experience in applied food science, nanotechnology, and nutritional biochemistry within a high-security research environment.

I assisted in developing affordable and effective packaging methods for transporting temperature-sensitive food items using food-grade materials. I also contributed to creating an anti-microbial formulation to reduce vegetable spoilage and collaborated with the institute’s food startup incubator, gaining exposure to early-stage food innovation and industry-focused R&D.
