Entrepreneurship Exchange program is a virtual exchange assembles students in small teams to identify a climate-related issue and create a business concept to address it. The program will connect 1,100 undergrads across Michigan, Egypt, Libya, and Morocco. It provides an in-depth exploration of climate change, highlighting its urgency and the entrepreneurial opportunities it presents. Climate Entrepreneurship Exchange is implemented by the William Davidson Institute at the University of Michigan and is supported by the J. Christopher Stevens Virtual Exchange Initiative (JCSVEI). JCSVEI is a U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs program administered by the Aspen Institute. Business & Culture Program https://businessandculture.org Business & Culture: A Virtual Practicum-an exciting, action-learning course on international business cultures connecting students from Egypt, Lebanon, Libya and the USA. Problem-solve and collaborate in a global team environment. This course is open to all majors at the University of Michigan, business students at the American University in Cairo and the American University of Beirut, and students in Benghazi, Libya. The program equip young people in the U.S. and MENA regions with the skills they need to communicate, problem-solve and collaborate in a global team environment—all essential 21st century skills in an interconnected world. Eye on the GNC Project: This project is the result of intensive communication between two organizations, H2O and Bokra, mobilizing efforts to collect information and data to prepare accurate reports on the performance of Libya's General National Congress (GNC). The performance of the GNC will be followed by tracking what is written about it in local and international newspapers, as well as what is broadcasted about it on television and radio stations. Eye on the GNC is a neutral project that distances itself equally from the audience and the General National Congress. This project's regularly produced reports will eventually be published in the media through radio and television stations, newspapers, and various websites, helping the Libyan citizen regain trust in the work of civil society, and in the veracity of the news that reaches them through various means. These reports will additionally close the gap between voters and elected members that has arisen since the convening of the General National Congress and its successive meetings. In addition, these reports, which will be issued regularly in the middle of the month over the next year, represent a source of information that familiarizes citizens with the attitudes of their representatives and allows them to observe their political performance. The performance of GNC representatives can be used as an evaluation criterion for citizens to rely upon in the upcoming elections.

This course explores the intersection of cutting-edge AI technologies and responsible business practices. Participants will gain foundational knowledge in AI—including machine learning, neural networks, and generative AI—and learn to develop AI-driven strategies that enhance innovation and align with organizational goals. Through hands-on exercises and case studies, learners will apply AI across the enterprise value chain, from customer experience to internal operations. The course also emphasizes the broader role of business in society, covering key topics such as corporate social responsibility (CSR), stakeholder management, ethical decision-making, sustainable supply chains, and anti-corruption strategies. A capstone project challenges participants to design a comprehensive AI roadmap for their organization that balances digital transformation with social impact.

The LDF Program, also known as the Leadership Development Fellowship Program, is a collaborative effort between three organizations: World Learning: A non-profit organization that focuses on international education, development, and exchange programs. They are the primary implementer of the LDF program. The U.S. Department of State's Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI): A U.S. government initiative that aims to promote peace, democracy, and economic development in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. They provide funding for the LDF program. Duke University: A prestigious private university in the United States. Duke University, particularly the Duke Center for International Development (DCID), plays a role in hosting and providing academic expertise for the LDF program.
