As a post-doc in KIT I have several responsibilities: 1- I am part of phaseFieldFoam users and developers, The development of this code is a collaboration between KIT and TU-Darmstadt. I am mostly working on developing the heat transfer feature for the simulation of drop impact on heated solid surfaces. 2- I am working on an in-house code for the simulation of boiling. For this project, a solver based on interFoam is extended. The objective of this study is to simulate the boiling in micro-channels. 3- teaching tasks: I am teaching a course called "Advance CFD with OpenFOAM" in winter semesters in KIT. It is a follow-up course after our other course called "Introduction to Computational Fluid Dynamics". In this course, I try to teach students how to customize OpenFOAM solvers and utilities for their simulations. The course content includes: - Create Mesh for complex geometries with snappyHexMesh - write new boundary conditions with tools like groovyBC, codestream, and foamNewBC - Enhancing functionality with swak4Foam and codestream - Apply non-uniform initial conditions with codestream and funkySetFields - Navigating Doxygen for efficient programming and documentation. -Customize and compile OpenFOAM solvers and libraries -Working with git

As an experienced OpenFOAM user, I have the privilege of teaching this powerful open-source software to enthusiastic applicants. The workshops I conduct are organized in collaboration with two prestigious societies: ISME (Iranian Society of Mechanical Engineers) and IHA (Iranian Hydraulic Association). These comprehensive workshops encompass a series of training courses that cater to OpenFOAM users at different levels, ranging from beginners to experienced practitioners. The workshops attract participants from both industry and academia, fostering a diverse and collaborative learning environment. During the workshops, we cover various aspects of OpenFOAM, addressing a wide range of applications. At the ISME workshop, the course delves into multiphase flow, turbomachinery, and HVAC applications, providing attendees with valuable insights and practical knowledge. On the other hand, the IHA workshop focuses specifically on multiphase flow, with a particular emphasis on free surface flows. By sharing my expertise and insights gained from extensive experience with OpenFOAM, I aim to empower participants to leverage this software effectively and unlock its potential for their respective fields.

Mechanical Engineering
In my Ph.D. thesis, I made significant contributions to the field of multiphase systems by extending the Volume of Fluid (VOF) method in the OpenFOAM solver (interFoam). This extension enabled the modeling of heat and mass transfer phenomena in multiphase systems. As part of my research, I focused on modeling the behavior of a single vapor bubble rising in a saturated and subcooled pool boiling scenario using the developed solver. The solver, known as phaseChangeHeatFoam, is designed to accurately simulate and analyze the complex dynamics of phase change and heat transfer in such systems.
