Building a better world through clear, effective and non-violent communication / Construire un monde meilleur à travers la communication claire, efficace et nonviolente Hi, I’m Nikki, a mother, daughter, sister, friend, communication expert, accent coach, translator, ESL and yoga teacher, dancer, swimmer, learner of languages, grammar nerd, citizen of the world, admirer of the humble, and lover of life. I'm on a mission to help build a world, where people are kinder and more compassionate towards one another and towards themselves, through clear, compassionate, non-violent communication. With more than 20 years of experience helping people and organizations communicate more effectively, I have built my unique skill set into a range of services from communication and accent coaching to ESL teaching. My signature Communication Inside & Out program helps reset the way people communicate, starting from the inside. The clearer, healthier relationship you maintain with yourself resonates outwards into the way you communicate with others. As a dual French/American national, I have deep, first-hand insight into the intercultural aspects of communication in person, in writing, and online. My years in translation and English teaching have forged the "communication outside" piece. Advocating for communication quality, accessibility, justice and equality, I became involved in the PLAIN Language Association and joined the Individual Certification Committee with the International Plain Language Federation. I am also a Supporting Member of the Center for Nonviolent Communication. My learning journey in nonviolent communication became the eye-opening catalyst. Its components provide the foundation and framework. Compassion forms the cement that holds all the pieces together. The "communication inside" piece derives from my training and experience as a yoga instructor and breathwork facilitator. By supporting others holistically so that they can safely transform from within, I realized that this was the key to building a kinder, more compassionate world, where individuals can evolve into the best versions of themselves. Through my decades of experience in cross-cultural communication, I have developed a course to foster clearer, smoother communication between the French and Americans. My mission is to use my unique blend of tools to empower people and bring my dream to life: a world where kindness and compassion flow more freely, both inwardly and outwardly. In addition to intercultural communication, I have designed a four-part Communication Inside & Out program to improve your communication with yourself and with others.
