During my internship at 132/33 KV GSS I have learnt about functions and operation of substation which includes : > Voltage transformation from 132 KV to 33KV with the help of power transformer. > Power distribution to various 33 KV outgoing feeders. > Protection scheme for substation which includes relays ,circuit breaker, isolators, earth switch , CT ,PT , lightening Arrester etc. > Power quality control methods . > Understanding on Single Line Diagram of substation. Moreover, I have gain practical insight of various concept of electrical machine and power system ( Like parallel operation of transformer , load sharing , maintaining good voltage regulation load shedding , protection scheme etc ).
