Honored to serve on the Advisory Board of the Calcutta Leather Complex Tanners Association (CLCTA) for ESG initiatives, as the only approved consultant empaneled for Advisory & Training Services related to LWG, Social, and Technical Certifications. Through strategic guidance and capacity-building programs, we are empowering the 800+ tanneries and 400+ leather goods units of the Kolkata Leather Complex to integrate global sustainability standards, strengthen ethical manufacturing practices, and drive ESG excellence across the Indian leather ecosystem. 🌿

Proud to have contributed to the UNIDO–LISEC Programme in Ethiopia, driving the transformation of the leather sector toward sustainability and global competitiveness. Under this initiative, I assisted leather manufacturing units in achieving Leather Working Group (LWG) Certifications, strengthening their export readiness and participation in international supply chains. The programme focused on advancing green and inclusive industrialization by reducing pollution, improving efficiency, and embedding sustainable practices across tanneries. I also facilitated youth employment and capacity building by training tannery staff in sustainable production systems aligned with global best practices. Through collaboration with the Leather Industry Development Institute (LIDI), we enhanced institutional capabilities, ensured long-term knowledge transfer, and fostered enterprise resilience — helping the Ethiopian leather industry move from compliance to conscious competitiveness. 🌍✨

Conducted SA8000 certification and surveillance audits in alignment with DNV and SAAS standards, assessing client performance on key social accountability parameters. Led worker interviews, including gender-sensitive assessments, ensuring fair representation of women workers’ perspectives. Reviewed documentation and prepared detailed audit reports highlighting non-conformities and improvement opportunities. Maintained independence, impartiality, and up-to-date knowledge of ILO conventions and evolving social compliance frameworks, while collaborating with global DNV teams on multi-standard audits.
