One of a team of six Area Sales Managers to open a new Dillard’s in The Domain, an upscale, mixed-use development in north Austin. Interviewed, hired, and trained a team of 12 Sales Associates, oversaw setup of department and merchandising displays according to corporate designs. Worked closely with buyers at corporate headquarters to track sales trends and adjust product mix appropriately, and initiate product replacement orders. Actively recruited new sales associates from other retail organizations and at job fairs.

Managed operations of a busy department, consistently meeting objectives for revenue and performance ratings such as customer service, merchandising presentation, and credit card applications.

Completed a 10-week management internship and assisted in all areas of operation.
