* Responsibilities- Directs all accounting and finance functions of the organization; including financial reporting, audit and banking relations, and management of the Accounting and Information technology Departments. * Review and provide all financial reports and analysis for Executive Management * Serve as the main liaison for annual external audit and corporate tax return preparation * Maintain all Joint Venture Capital accounts; including quarterly distributions and annual K-1’s. * Oversee and Manage the Accounting and IT department of (10) employees * Lead a successful accounting system conversion from QuickBooks to Great Plains, from the strategic planning phase to implementation, to improve processes allowing for simplified consolidation of financial statements, and intercompany activities. * Lead a successful Accounting Department Conversion from Project based accounting to “Functional” or department Accounting; creating more effective processes for Accounts payable, payroll, treasury management, store relations, and financial reporting, while allowing mobility for growth.

For almost 40 years, Harbor House has provided services to countless survivors in our mission to prevent and eliminate domestic abuse in Central Florida. As the only state-certified shelter in Orange County, Florida, we have 6 major functional programs that support that mission: emergency shelter, children’s services, community outreach, legal advocacy services, prevention, and community & professional education. Harbor House’s holistic and innovative care features a 110-bed emergency shelter that is operated 24 hours a day for survivors of intimate partner violence . In addition it includes an on-site animal shelter that allows survivors to bring the whole family to safety. Harbor House prepares survivors for re-entry into the community - connecting them to resources that will enable them to live independently, safely and peacefully.
