Chief of Staff to the Deputy Secretary of Commerce. The Department of Commerce plays a vital role in strengthening America’s economy and promoting job creation. From supporting small businesses to conducting the national census, from weather forecasting to protecting intellectual property, Commerce touches virtually every aspect of American economic life. The department’s work directly impacts job creation, trade competitiveness, and the data that drives informed decision-making across sectors.

Acting Director or The US Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) which provides services and resources to help refugees integrate into American Society. ORR directs and implements policy for the refugee resettlement program as well as provides care and placement for unaccompanied immigrant children referred by Homeland Security. As Acting Director, I directed litigation, set policy initiatives and designed and implemented programs to address operational and national security issues.

Former DOJ trial attorney with extensive litigation experience handling complex fraud and white collar cases. Focus primarily on representing indigent clients in DC federal courts in felony and misdemeanor cases. Contract/consulting attorney (2009-2017) serving as and assisting other court appointed counsel in all aspects of trial litigation practice with emphasis on expert witness testimony, digital evidence and challenges to wire taps and illegal searches.

Trial Attorney, Criminal Division, Fraud Section. Member of the Bank Fraud Task Force from 1992-94, detailed to the Department of Justice, Office of Inspector General from 1996-1998 for the investigation of the FBI crime laboratory.
