* Providing advice to clients with respect to a range of criminal law matters. * Brief Analysis and general preparation with respect to Indictable matters. * Appearing on behalf of clients at Committal Mention and/or Committal Case Conference. * Providing advice and appearing on behalf of clients in relation to a range of summary matters including plea hearings/consolidated plea hearings, bail applications, intervention order matters and contest mention hearings. * Preparing briefs for counsel in respect of indictable matters, summary contested hearings and County Court Appeals * Instructing Counsel in Trials in the County Court. * Instructing Counsel in the Supreme Court * Court of Appeal. * Preparing and filing various legal documents including subpoenas. * ATLAS applications and electronic lodgment of Court documents. * Various administrative tasks including preparing written correspondence to clients, the Courts, Police and the OPP.

The Office of Public Prosecutions (OPP) is an independent statutory authority responsible for preparing and conducting criminal prosecutions in Victoria on behalf of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP). Matters prosecuted by the DPP and the OPP involve serious crimes or matters that are of significance to the fair and effective operation of the Victorian criminal justice system.The OPP consists of the Solicitor for Public Prosecutions and a staff of approximately 300 providing legal and corporate support to the DPP, the Chief Crown Prosecutor and Crown Prosecutors in the exercise of their independent roles in the criminal justice system.
