Nicolas Law Yim Wan

Embedded across Ubisoft's internal studios as a Web3 expert, leading smart contract development and on-chain governance for Captain Laserhawk: The G.A.M.E.. Designed cross-chain mechanics and token-based player experiences, and drove the secure, compliant rollout of blockchain infrastructure across internal systems. Now focused on generative AI, building pipelines and agents, prototyping AI-powered interactions for game contexts, and leading early R&D on how large language models can reshape player experiences and developer workflows.

Shipped smart contracts for Champions Tactics and contributed to Ubisoft Quartz v2 on Tezos, including a partnership with Sorare on One Shot League. Led blockchain onboarding workshops for studios across Ubisoft, and mentored startups through the Ubisoft Entrepreneurs Lab. Built internal tooling and governance systems (DAOs, wallet abstraction) — drawing on prior work in Ethereum and Go backend development.

Two-year apprenticeship building early-stage blockchain experiences at Ubisoft — including the Rabbids Token, the first version of Ubisoft Quartz for Ghost Recon Breakpoint, and exploratory R&D on the Flow blockchain. Represented Ubisoft at major Web3 events — EthCC, DappCon, ETHBerlin — and supported the Ubisoft Entrepreneurs Lab in prototype development and startup mentoring.

Contributed to Ethereum-based backend tools for wallet orchestration and gas abstraction, focusing on secure smart contract interaction and gas optimization. Participated in ETHBerlin Zwei hackathon with the team, where we developed a decentralized identity system and worked on dApp security challenges. Designed and prototyped Web3 dApps with an emphasis on DAO frameworks, Ethereum smart contracts, and secure wallet infrastructure leveraging HashiCorp Vault. My work included off-chain integration and the implementation of governance prototypes with a strong focus on security and scalability.

During this 6 months internship at PayGreen, I contributed to the backend architecture of the payment platform. I also developed custom payment modules for major e-commerce systems including WooCommerce, Salesforce, and PrestaShop, helping merchants integrate PayGreen into their online stores.
