Advanced flowering-time research by characterising the plasma-membrane MCTP proteins QKY and SYP121 in 𝘈𝘳𝘢𝘣𝘪𝘥𝘰𝘱𝘴𝘪𝘴. A complete molecular-genetics pipeline and phenotypic screens supplied data for a 𝘗𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘊𝘦𝘭𝘭 paper that identified the QKY–SYP121 MCTP-SNARE complex as an FT-transport hub driving long-day flowering. 🧬 Executed high-throughput PCR genotyping with lab-validated primer sets, achieving >95% unambiguous allele calls and kick-starting phenotyping ahead of schedule 🧬 Quantified mutant phenotypes: loss-of-function plants bolted ~12 days later and produced ~25% more rosette leaves than wild type under long days, confirming QKY and SYP121 as photoperiod-pathway regulators
